VISSION & MISSION

VISION

“To establish the Department of Botany as a renowned leader in academia by providing high-quality undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate programs.”

MISSION

Through teaching, research, and participation, the Department is dedicated to educating students and scientists to benefit the community.

GOALS

The Department’s goal is to produce world-class graduates who can meet national needs by bridging the gap between our research and local industry for ultimate indigenization of plant science technology, keeping up with emerging trends in plant sciences, and accepting the challenges of global competition. Our goal is to equip our graduates to meet the needs of the pharmaceutical business, food industry, health sector, environment, agriculture, forestry, and government and non-government disease control programs by looking for new plant medications and microbiological sources.
